Life Drawing Fridays

Held every 2nd Friday evening, Life Drawing is open to anyone who is interested in learning and improving their drawing skills. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, we welcome all levels. Our peer led group will guide you through the fundamentals of life drawing, making it accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

One of the most exciting aspects of our session is the use of live models. Each week, we have a different model who poses for the group, giving you the chance to draw from real life and practice observational skills. This also adds a unique touch to the our sessions as each model brings their own individuality and personality.

Not only is life drawing a great way to improve your drawing skills, but it also has several other benefits. It helps to improve hand-eye coordination, concentration, and attention to detail. Our life drawing sessions are not just about drawing. We also make sure to incorporate various exercises and activities to keep things interesting and challenging. From gesture drawing to longer poses, each session is carefully curated to develop different aspects of drawing.

We understand that Fridays can be a busy day for many, which is why our class starts at 6 pm and goes on until 8 pm. This allows for a flexible schedule and gives you enough time to wind down after work before joining us. We also offer a small break in between for students to relax, chat, and enjoy some light refreshments.

At the end of each session, there is an optional group critique session where individuals can showcase their work and receive feedback from their peers. This is a great opportunity to learn from each other and improve together.
